The Sara Bareilles Awards are a regional awards program that recognizes outstanding achievement in high school musical theatre. The program is part of The National High School Musical Theatre Awards® (NHSMTA®) program—otherwise known as The Jimmy Awards®.
The Sara Bareilles Awards is accessible to students from San Francisco and Alameda Counties, extending all the way to the northernmost regions of the state. Following the ceremony on May 3, 2026, the Sara Bareilles Awards will sponsor two student representatives to participate in the Jimmy Awards taking place each June in New York City.
Through a collaboration with Champion Charities, you can now donate to support the program. Champion Charities has introduced new generations to the power of live theatre for more than 20 years, and collaborating with the Sara Bareilles Awards is a valuable opportunity to invest in arts education.
Your generosity helps ensure that every talented student — regardless of geography or resources — has access to artistic opportunities. Your donation will go directly toward growing the program, from funding free workshops, sending two students to the Jimmy Awards, stipends for adjudicators traveling thousands of miles across the region to evaluate high school productions, and more.
Donations to the Sara Bareilles Awards are tax-deductible. You will receive documentation of your donation from Champion Charities after the ceremony.
As a thank you for your contribution, the Sara Bareilles Awards is excited to offer a variety of perks, listed below. The fair market value of goods and services received will be disclosed in your donation receipt.
The Sara Bareilles Awards is thrilled to offer a variety of tax-deductible corporate sponsorship opportunities for companies/organizations. Sponsorship packages begin at $5,000, and the program is happy to work with your organization to design a package that best fits your needs. Promotional opportunities offered to sponsors include, but are not limited to, your name/logo on marketing materials, chance to present awards on stage during the ceremony, features in ATG San Francisco newsletters to 300K+ recipients, branded signage at the ceremony, program ads, social media posts, and more.
